구이도 레니 [Guido Reni, 1575.11.4~1642.8.18]  

이탈리아의 화가. 풍부한 색채감각과 부드러운 정조가 특색이다. 또한 정열적인 종교화와 이교적 회화를 그려 리드미컬한 색채구성과 세련된 지성주의를 보여주었다. L.카라치가 죽고 난 뒤에 귀도 레니는 볼로냐 절충파의 대표적 화가였다. 볼로냐 근교 칼벤차노 출생. 카라치 일가(家)에 의해 볼로냐에 설립된 아카데미에서 배우고, A.카라치를 따라 로마로 갔다. 로마에서는 M.카라바조의 영향을 받으면서 프레스코 벽화가로서의 두각을 나타내었으며, 팔라초 로스피리오시의 프레스코 《오로라 Aurora》(1613~14)를 비롯한 감미로운 작풍을 보여 제2의 라파엘로라고 불렸다. 풍부한 색채감각과 부드러운 정조가 특색이다. 또한《막달라의 마리아 Penitent Magdalene》(1635), 《이 사람을 보라 Ecce Homo》(1639) 등의 정열적인 종교화와 《아탈란타와 히포메네스 Atalanta and Hipomenes》(1612)와 같은 이교적 회화를 그려 리드미컬한 색채구성과 세련된 지성주의를 보여주었다. L.카라치가 죽고난 뒤에 귀도 레니는 볼로냐 절충파의 대표적 화가였다.
